Thanks! Well, I had the f-number set at 22 or something, so that I could set the shutter speed pretty long, 8 seconds or so. I just keep shooting until I got lucky. :D

If your camera can shoot in manual mode, you should be able to manipulate aperture and shutter speed. Happy shooting, my friend!

Well, that depends entirely on your budget. I have two Canons (Rebel XSi and K2) and I adore them both. They're both SLRs though, so they're pricey and you'd have to buy lenses for them. You can find affordable Canon Powershots, though. I recommend one of those, they're fast to use and good quality. Try to shop around for one with manual mode or something similar. If I run across a really good one, I'll let you know about it.
